Can I run this fridge off my caravan's 12V solar system?
Yes. Compressor fridges are efficient enough on 12V to run comfortably off a well-designed solar setup. A 100Ah lithium battery with a 120W+ solar panel is a reasonable starting point for a portable fridge of this size, but actual consumption depends on ambient temperature and how often the fridge is opened.
Can I use this as a freezer?
Yes. Set the temperature down to -18°C or lower for freezer operation. The CFX5 range goes to -22°C.
