HiTech DC-DC Battery Charger with MPPT 50A – 2-in-1 Alternator and Solar Charging
The HiTech DC-DC Battery Charger with MPPT combines a DC-DC (battery-to-battery) charger and an MPPT solar controller in one compact 12V unit. It keeps your auxiliary or house battery charged from the vehicle alternator, from solar panels, or from both at the same time, which makes it a good fit for caravans, motorhomes, 4WDs, boats and off-grid systems.
It can also work in reverse when needed: solar input can help maintain the starting battery, and in an emergency the auxiliary battery can be used to help recharge a flat starting battery.

Can it charge a lithium (LiFePO4) battery?
Yes. It supports LiFePO4, sealed, gel and flooded batteries, and also has a user-defined setting. Select the correct battery type before use.
Will it work with my smart alternator?
Yes. The charger automatically detects intelligent (smart) and conventional alternators, so it can be used on most modern vehicles.
How much solar can I connect?
The recommended solar input is 400W to 700W. The maximum PV input voltage is 55V DC, with an MPPT operating range of 17V to 36V. Check your panel array voltage against these figures, and contact us if you need help sizing a system.
