Victron Orion 48/12-60A DC-DC Converter (Non-Isolated, IP20)
The Orion 48/12-60A is a high-power, non-isolated switch-mode DC-DC converter that steps a 48V system down to a regulated 12V output, delivering up to 60A continuous (720W). It's a common choice for 48V solar, telecoms, industrial and marine installations that need a reliable 12V accessory supply, sharing a common negative between input and output.
A remote on/off connector removes the need for a high-current switch in the input wiring, and up to five units can be run in parallel for higher combined output.
Key Features
- 48V in / 12V out, 60A continuous (720W), 65A maximum intermittent load
- Output adjustable between 10–15V
- Non-isolated design — input and output share a common negative/ground
- Silent, fan-free passive convection cooling
- Remote on/off control input
- Parallel connection of up to 5 units for higher combined output

What does this DC-DC converter do?
It steps a 48V system down to a regulated 12V output at up to 60A continuous (720W), commonly used to run 12V accessories from a 48V solar, telecoms or industrial battery bank.
Is GST included in the price?
Yes — all prices shown include 15% New Zealand GST.
Do you ship across New Zealand?
Yes. Rolleston Caravans dispatches nationwide and freight is calculated at checkout. Pickup from our Rolleston store is also available.
Is this the same as an isolated converter?
No. This non-isolated model shares a common negative/ground between its 48V input and 12V output. It's not a drop-in replacement for an isolated converter — check your system's wiring before installing, and ask us if you're not sure which type you need. It is also IP20 rated, so it needs a protected, indoor-style mounting location rather than direct weather exposure.
