How does the built-in heater work?
The battery's internal BMS automatically activates the cell heater when needed, allowing it to accept charge in temperatures as low as -20°C. This means you don't need to manually manage charging in cold weather — the battery takes care of it, making it well suited to alpine touring and South Island winters.

Can I use a standard charger with this lithium battery?
Lithium batteries require a charger with a lithium charging profile. Using a standard lead-acid charger can damage the battery or trigger the battery management system. Ensure your charger, solar controller and DC-DC charger are all set to lithium mode.

Can this replace my existing AGM battery directly?
In most cases yes, provided the physical size fits your battery box and your charging equipment supports a lithium charge profile. Check the dimensions and weight in the Specifications tab before ordering.

How do I know what capacity I need?
Calculate your daily power consumption in watt-hours (Wh) by adding up the wattage of each appliance multiplied by hours of use, then divide by 12V to get Ah.
