ePOWER 2000W True Sine Wave Inverter
ePOWER 2000W True Sine Wave Inverter
The Enerdrive ePOWER 2000W True Sine Wave Inverter converts 12V battery power into clean 230V AC, giving you household power anywhere — no generator or powered site required. Rated at 2000W continuous with 4000W surge capacity (2x continuous), it comfortably runs laptops, TVs, kitchen appliances, phone chargers and most other household electronics.
True sine wave output means grid-quality power that is safe for sensitive electronics, including laptops, LCD TVs, medical equipment and appliances with variable speed motors — unlike modified sine wave inverters, which can damage or shorten the life of these devices.
This standard version does not include the internal AC transfer switch or RCD safety switch — ideal where the inverter output is wired to a dedicated circuit rather than shared with shore power, or where transfer switching is already handled elsewhere in the installation.
Key Features
- 2000W Continuous / 4000W Surge — runs most household appliances, with surge capacity to handle motor start-up loads
- True Sine Wave Output — clean, grid-quality power safe for sensitive electronics and variable-speed motors
- Australian Standard GPO Outlets — standard NZ/AU household socket connections
- Audio Alarm with Error Codes — alerts you before automatic shutdown
- Automatic Protection — overload, over-temperature and low/high battery voltage shutdown
- 5V/2.1A USB Port — charge USB devices directly from the inverter
- Permanent Mounting Brackets — for secure, professional installation
- Remote On/Off Switch — 6m remote switch included, so you can control the inverter from anywhere in the van

How do I know this will suit my setup?
Check the specifications listed above — particularly the continuous and surge wattage — against the total load of the appliances you plan to run at the same time. If you're unsure, contact us and we're happy to help you confirm it will suit your setup.
What's the warranty?
This inverter is backed by Enerdrive's 5-year manufacturer's warranty.
What size inverter do I need?
Add up the wattage of all appliances you want to run simultaneously. Common examples: laptop 60W, LED TV 80W, electric kettle 2000–2400W, microwave 1000–1500W. Choose an inverter rated at least 20% above your maximum expected load. Note that kettles, microwaves and heaters draw very high wattage and typically require a 2000W+ inverter and a substantial battery bank.
How long will my battery last running the inverter?
Battery life depends on battery capacity and inverter load. As a rough guide, a 100Ah lithium battery running a 200W load (laptop plus LED TV) would last approximately 4–5 hours at full charge. Heavier loads drain batteries faster, and solar charging extends run time significantly.
Is true sine wave necessary?
For laptops, LED TVs, chargers and anything with sensitive electronics, yes. Modified sine wave can cause overheating, reduced performance or outright damage to these devices, so true sine wave is always the correct choice for caravan use.
Does this model include an AC transfer switch or RCD safety switch?
No. This is the standard ePOWER 2000W inverter without a built-in AC transfer switch or RCD. If you need automatic switching between shore power and inverter power in a single unit, see our ePOWER 2000W inverter with AC Transfer & Safety Switch.
Will it work with lithium (LiFePO4) batteries?
Yes, this inverter is compatible with both AGM and lithium battery banks. Just make sure your battery bank can comfortably supply the inverter's surge current when required.
