Can this battery be used for both engine starting and house power?
Yes, this is a dual-purpose marine battery. Its Marine Cranking Amps (MCA) rating supports engine starting, while its deep-cycle construction allows it to also run house loads such as lights, pumps and appliances.

Do I need a special charger for this battery?
Most modern smart chargers with a standard flooded or AGM setting are suitable. Avoid chargers with an equalise stage unless confirmed safe for this battery, as it can cause overcharging. Contact us if you're unsure which charge profile to use.

How do I know what capacity I need?
Calculate your daily power consumption in watt-hours (Wh) by adding up the wattage of each appliance multiplied by hours of use, then divide by 12V to get Ah.
