Can I run the hob on electric power only?
Yes. The electric hotplate runs on 12V power independently of the gas burners, so you can cook without using gas when you want to conserve your LPG supply.

What safety features does this unit have?
All gas burners are fitted with flame failure devices that cut the gas supply if a flame goes out, and the gas supply and electric hotplate are automatically isolated whenever the glass lid is closed.

Do I need a gas fitter to install this?
Yes. This unit connects to your caravan's LPG gas system and should be installed and commissioned by a qualified gas fitter to meet New Zealand gas safety standards.
