RV Standard Plastic Wheel Chock
Coast RV Standard Plastic Wheel Chock – Secure Your Van Every Time
The simplest accessories are often the most essential. The Coast RV Standard Plastic Wheel Chock is one of those non-negotiable items every caravan and RV owner should have on hand — lightweight enough to forget it's there, tough enough to do its job every single time.
Whether you're setting up on a sloped campsite, loading gear, or carrying out maintenance, this chock slides under your wheel in seconds and keeps your van exactly where you parked it.
Stability & Safety
- Prevents Unwanted Movement – Stops your caravan or RV from rolling or shifting while parked, during loading, or on uneven terrain.
- Works Across Multiple Surfaces – Effective on gravel, asphalt, grass, and dirt — the surfaces you actually encounter on Australian and New Zealand roads and campsites.
- Solid Plastic Construction – Durable enough to handle the weight of a fully-loaded caravan without cracking or deforming.
Practical & Easy to Use
- Lightweight Design – Easy to handle and quick to deploy, even after a long day on the road.
- Compact & Easy to Store – Tucks away neatly in your caravan's storage bay, toolbox, or tow vehicle without taking up valuable space.
- Sold Individually – Buy exactly what you need. Most setups require two chocks — one per wheel — so you can tailor your purchase to your rig.

How many wheel chocks do I need? For most caravan setups, two chocks are recommended — one placed in front of and one behind the wheel on the side most likely to roll. On a slope, chock both wheels on the downhill side for maximum security.
Which wheel should I chock? Always chock the wheels on the downhill side of any slope. On flat ground, chocking both rear wheels is standard practice and provides the best stability.
Can I use this chock on a motorhome or trailer as well as a caravan? Yes. This chock is suitable for any wheeled vehicle including caravans, camper trailers, motorhomes, and boat trailers, provided the wheel size is compatible.
Is one chock enough, or do I need two? One chock provides basic security but two — placed front and back of the same wheel, or on both wheels of the same axle — give significantly better protection, especially on uneven ground or in windy conditions.
Will this chock work on loose gravel or dirt? Yes, it is designed to function across common campsite surfaces including gravel, dirt, grass, and sealed roads. On particularly soft or muddy ground, placing the chock on a flat board or jack pad can improve effectiveness.
Is this the same as the heavy-duty version? This is the standard plastic wheel chock.
