KickAss 12V 170W Fixed Solar Panel, Glass Roof Top

The KickAss 12V 170W Fixed Glass Solar Panel is a durable, high-efficiency solar solution designed for permanent installation on 4WDs, caravans, trailers, and boats. Built with A-grade monocrystalline cells and toughened glass, it delivers reliable power generation even in demanding Australian conditions.

Features

• 170W A-grade monocrystalline solar cells
• High-efficiency performance (15–25% more efficient than standard panels)
• Generates power in partial shade
• Bypass diode for improved output consistency
• Thick tempered low-iron glass construction
• Designed for permanent rooftop mounting
• High impact resistance for harsh conditions
• 20.5V Open Circuit Voltage

Engineered for long-term use, this fixed solar panel is designed to provide a dependable 12V power solution once installed. It continues generating power while connected, making it ideal for permanent vehicle or off-grid setups.

A key feature is the integrated bypass diode, which helps maintain power output even when parts of the panel are shaded. This ensures more consistent energy production, particularly useful for rooftop installations on vehicles where partial shading is common.

Built using A-grade monocrystalline solar cells, the panel delivers higher efficiency compared to standard alternatives, typically producing 15–25% more output. It also performs better in low-light conditions, helping you maximise energy generation throughout the day.

The panel is protected by thick, low-iron tempered glass with an anti-reflective coating, providing excellent light transmission while resisting impacts from hail, stones, and accidental knocks. This makes it well-suited to harsh outdoor environments and long-term rooftop mounting.

Designed with practical installation in mind, the dimensions are optimised for vehicle rooftops, making it a clean fit for 4WDs, caravans, trailers, and marine applications.
