What is PWM charging?

PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) is a proven, cost-effective charging method that regulates the power flowing from your solar panels to your battery. The controller rapidly switches the solar connection on and off to maintain the battery at the correct voltage during each charging stage. While MPPT controllers offer higher efficiency in large or complex systems, PWM is reliable and well-suited to straightforward 12V and 24V setups.

Will this work with my solar panels?

The Sky Dream 30A controller is compatible with standard 12V and 24V solar panels. It automatically detects your system voltage on start-up. Ensure your solar panel's open-circuit voltage is within the controller's rated input range before connecting.

What battery types does it support?

The controller supports Sealed (AGM), Gel, and Flooded (wet cell) lead-acid batteries. The battery type can be selected via the LCD menu to ensure the correct charging profile is used for your battery.

What does the USB output do?

The 5V 1A USB port lets you charge phones, tablets, or other USB devices directly from the controller without needing a separate 12V adaptor.
