The Grand Aero is the larger of the two Aero Platinum models, offering more mirror area and greater reach for wider caravans.

The key innovation is the flexible, rubber-faced stainless steel gripper plate, which is over 50% larger than standard Aero 3 mirror pads. These plates flex to conform to the shape of your vehicle's mirror bezel, dramatically increasing surface contact and delivering a firm, vibration-resistant hold. The enlarged clamp body accepts bezels up to 25mm thick, while the larger diameter arm extends reach to suit caravans up to 2.55 metres wide.

What's the difference between the Grand Aero and the standard Aero Platinum?

The Grand Aero is the larger model — it has a bigger mirror head (220mm tall vs smaller on the standard) and a longer adjustable arm reaching up to 410mm. It's the better choice for wider caravans or where you need extra rearward visibility. If you're towing a narrower van and your vehicle has a standard mirror size, the regular Aero Platinum may be sufficient.

Do I need to remove them after towing?

Yes — like all clip-on towing mirrors, the Milenco Platinum Grand Aero mirrors should be removed when not towing. They come with a carry case for convenient storage between trips.

Are towing mirrors a legal requirement in New Zealand?
