Do I need a SKY subscription to use this receiver?
No — the SKYBOX SV6 also receives Freeview satellite channels without a subscription. A SKY subscription and active SKY card are only needed if you want access to SKY channels.

Will my SKY card work in this receiver?
The SKYBOX SV6 is compatible with SKY cards carrying serial numbers starting "0000 2......." (including MySky cards). SKY NZ periodically changes its system requirements for third-party receivers, so ongoing SKY channel access can't be guaranteed — contact us if you'd like to confirm compatibility with your specific SKY card before ordering.

Does it work with a satellite dish I already own?
Yes — the SKYBOX SV6 pairs with any compatible satellite dish already aligned to Optus D1, so it can be used alongside your existing NZSat or KiwiSat dish.
